Sept 20 - Nov 1
AMC 10 Intensive Prep Course
Improve your performance on problems in the #10–#20 difficulty range. The first five sessions each focus on a major AMC 10 topic, combining key concepts and techniques with extensive problem solving. The final two sessions shift to targeted and full-test practice, with an emphasis on applying these skills.
Prerequisites: Students should have prior
math-competition experience, ideally including AMC 8 preparation,
and be comfortable with harder AMC 8 problems or the first 10
problems of the AMC 10. They should have a solid foundation in
algebra and geometry, as well as basic number theory, counting,
and probability.
Grades: 8–10; younger students with relevant
experience are welcome.
Pricing: $450 per full course · $75 per
drop-in session
September 20th - November 1st: Sundays, 3pm- 5:30pm
Enroll in the full course or attend individual sessions as
drop-ins.

The Math Kagaroo international contest for grades 1-12 promotes creative problem-solving and a love of mathematics. Prime Factor is an official Math Kangaroo testing center. Registration opens in September on Math Kangaroo website. Search for "Prime Factor at Overlake" center.
AMC8 and AMC 10/12 Contests
Fall 2026 - Winter 2027
The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) are the nation's premier mathematics competitions for middle and high school students, designed to develop problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking. Prime Factor welcomes students from throughout the area to take the exams. We will host AMC 10/12 B on November 13th and AMC 8 in January. Registration is open.

Since 2013, Prime Factor has designed and hosted hands-on Logic Land Math Festivals that invite children and families to explore mathematics through puzzles, games, and creative challenges. Our most recent festival took place in May 2026.
