Nov 11 - Jan 13
Improve your performance on problems in the #12–#25 difficulty range. The first six sessions each focus on a major AMC 8 topic, combining key concepts and competition skills with extensive problem solving. The final session is a full AMC 8 simulation with review. Homework is assigned after each class.
Prerequisites: Students should have solid skills
in fractions, ratios, percentages, and basic equations, some
exposure to geometry, and some experience solving non-routine
problems. The course moves at a fairly fast pace. Prior
math-competition experience (such as Math Kangaroo or an earlier
AMC 8) is helpful but not required.
Grades: 6–8; younger students with relevant
experience are welcome.
Pricing: $400 per full course · $65 per
drop-in session
November 11th - January 13th: Wednesdays, 6:15pm- 8:15pm
No classes on Nov 25, Dec 23, and Dec 30.

The Math Kangaroo international competition for grades K–12
promotes creative problem-solving and a love of mathematics.
Founded in 1991, it has grown into the world's largest math
competition, with more than 6 million students participating
each year in over 90 countries.
Prime Factor is an official Math Kangaroo testing center and
we are open to all students in the area. To sign up with us,
search for "Prime Factor at Overlake" on the Math Kangaroo
website.
Fall 2026 - Winter 2027
The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) are the nation's premier mathematics competitions for middle and high school students, designed to develop problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking. Prime Factor welcomes students from throughout the area to take the exams. We will host AMC 10/12 B on November 13th and AMC 8 on January 22nd. Registration is open.
Sept 20 - Nov 1
Improve your performance on problems in the #10–#20 difficulty range. The first five sessions each focus on a major AMC 10 topic, combining key concepts and techniques with extensive problem solving. The final two sessions shift to targeted and full-test practice, with an emphasis on applying these skills.
Prerequisites: Students should have prior
math-competition experience, ideally including AMC 8 preparation,
and be comfortable with harder AMC 8 problems or the first 10
problems of the AMC 10. They should have a solid foundation in
algebra and geometry, as well as basic number theory, counting,
and probability.
Grades: 8–10; younger students with relevant
experience are welcome.
Pricing: $450 per full course · $75 per
drop-in session
September 20th - November 1st: Sundays, 3pm- 5:30pm

Since 2013, Prime Factor has designed and hosted hands-on Logic Land Math Festivals that invite children and families to explore mathematics through puzzles, games, and creative challenges. Our most recent festival took place in May 2026.
